Step 1-Romans 3:23
Realize and confess that you are a sinner. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned
and fall short of the glory of God. The Bible makes it clear that ‘all’
have sinned against God. No one is exempt from this charge.
Romans 3:10-12, As it is written: There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together became worthless; there is no one who does good. No even one. We all sin and fall short of the glory of God. God is holy, righteous, loving and all powerful. When you understand who God is and perceive God as He is, then you can know how far you miss the glory of God.
Step 2-Romans 6:23
Realize the awful consequence of sin and that eternal life come only through
Jesus Christ.
Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal
life in Christ Jesus our Lord. The wages of a sinful lifestyle ultimately
pay off in death. Death means eternal separation from God. The Bible tells
us that the place of separation from God is in hell. On the day of judgment
that is to come, those who have not turned to God and away from a lifestyle
of sin, will forever be separated from God.
Revelations: 20:15, if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of
life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
John 3:18, Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does
not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the
name of God’s one and only Son. The good news is that you do not have to
remain condemned. God loves you and offers you the gift of eternal life.
You must decide whether to be content with the wages of sin or accept God’s
gift of eternal life. That gift comes to you through Jesus Christ.
Step 3-Romans5:8
Realize that Jesus Christ loves you and has paid the penalty for your sin;
Romans 5:8, But God demonstrates his own love for us in this; While we were
still sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus Christ died on a Roman cross to
pay the penalty for our sins. Christ’s death demonstrates God’s wonderful
love for every person. When Jesus died, He took your sin upon Himself.
Step 4-Romans 10:9-10 & 13
Realize that you must confess Jesus as Lord and receive His gift of salvation
(eternal life) by faith (faith is just believing and trusting that God can
and will do what He said).
Romans 10:9-10 & 13, That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. For ‘everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.’ You must confess that Jesus is God, that He has authority over your life, that He died on the cross and rose from the dead to forgive your sins. By faith, you believe and are made right with God. The Bible says, “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” God wants you to trust Him now by calling on the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, for salvation (eternal life)
